Privacy Policy

MyTeachingPartner (MTP) is committed to keeping your personal information as secure as possible. This page details our privacy policy by explaining what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect and why we collect it

When you use our site, the site pages record several pieces of information:
  • Your user id (email address),
  • The date and time,
  • The pages you visit and time spend on each one, and
  • Basic, non-unique information about your computer, including the browser you're using and the operating system you're running.

This information helps us in various ways:

  • The user ids let us know who is accessing our site and how regularly, which helps us ensure that all participants are able to use the site;
  • The date and time help us understand the times at which our site is most frequently accessed, which lets us know when the best times of day are for web-related activities;
  • The pages you visit and time you spend on them tell us which of the pages are being accessed most frequently, and in what order;
  • And the computer-related information tells us the most frequently-used systems, so that we can make our site most compatible with them.

If you send us email or fill out the "contact us" form

If you send us email or fill out the "contact us" form, we will also collect (in addition to the information above) the contents of your message to us, which will help us address your questions, concerns, or comments.

Sharing information

MyTeachingPartner will never share any of the information we collect in such a way as to allow others to identify you personally. We reserve the right to present anonymous information in aggregate, such as:

  • The total number of logins in a given time period,
  • User navigation patterns through our website,
  • A comparison of the number of different operating systems used to access our website.

The MyTeachingPartner website uses cookies to help with security. Cookies are small files stored on your computer that let us know who you are and that you are a MTP Teacher.

To keep your information as secure as possible, we urge you to use the "logout" button each time you are finished with the website, and to completely close ("quit") your browser as well.

To ensure the safety and security of our video participants, all video files (.flv, .mov, .fla) on both our public and subscription service pages are protected by copyright law and may not be copied from our website.
